Race results and Pointscore        A reminder to all riders of the need to obey ALL road laws during races - we are very fortunate to have the use of local roads for our races, and DO NOT need to have residents complaining about riders strung across the road, especially in the finishing straight. Riders ARE NOT to ride 4 or 6 across the road as it endangers everyone. Also, if you haven't worked a turn at the front, you have no real entitlement to be up there in the sprint. It's very poor sportsmanship and very frustrating for the riders who have done their fair share of the work, to see fresh riders sprinting past them in the finish. This isn't Le Tour, and you're not Robbie McEwen! AVCC RULES   The 2010 Winter race series started on Sat 1st May, with the first race being at Wongarbon.  We will be having the usual pointscore over the winter season, which will finish on Saturday 25th September.  You will get 11 points for a win, 10 points for 2nd, 9 for third, and so on.  Everyone who finishes the course will get one point.  You get no points if you turn early or fail to finish the race. Prizes are given to the first three competitors across the line each week.  Prizes are Eagle Boys pizza vouchers and Grapevine coffee vouchers. Dec 03 Dec 10 Dec17 Jan 07 Jan 14 Jan 21 Jan 28 Feb 04 Feb 11 Feb 18 Feb 25 Mar 04 Mar 11 Mar 18 Mar 25   Race Reports Summer 2009/2010     2009 Winter  Race Season A sad end to the season with a fall resulting in pretty bad injuries to Col Jones and Raphael Chapman in the last kilometre of the last  weekend's race.  Col suffered bad lacerations to his face, particularly to his cheek and Raphael a suspected dislocated shoulder.  We all wish them a speedy recovery.  Those riders who stopped to render assistance were given bunch time. Poor Liz Meredith saw her Gold Medal hopes disappear when the Cooper bunch made the junction and was relegated to 2nd in the Club Championship behind Mick.
